![]() ![]() PS: I am aware that Charlie said he wanted more female character in games, I guess this is my feedback to the result.Įdit: Please don't make the discussion political, this is about immersion, nothing else.Įdit 2: From listening to others I realize the main problem with the game is 1. Multiple games have done this, and considering this game, I don't think having both male and female voice actors would add much stress to development. In a game where it is so vital to have immersion, why would they cater to the minority by making the character female?Īt least give us a choice. ![]() To make it slightly more controversial, what are the gender stats among players?Ī wild guess would be something like 90/10, where 90% are male. ![]() I vote for less dialogue from the main character, but I do respect if they want to try a different path. So while the character being female slightly adds disconnect, I think it's more about the fact that I'm constantly hearing her speak in sound queues. I don't mind female characters, seeing as I loved tomb raider. In Below Zero, not only do I constantly get to hear a brittish woman, it also removes the way the previous game created immersion through character by silence. In a strange way, this was great, because it made it feel like it was "me". Subnautica 1 (if you will) had little to no dialogue from the character you play as. My biggest problem with Below Zero though is the disconnect I feel to the character. ![]()
